Walter O'Leary, Founding Partner

Prior to founding WOL Partners in 2008, Walter O'Leary opened the London office of Banco Bradesco, at the time the largest Brazilian non-government owned bank. He was responsible for building the bank's institutional coverage in the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
Walter began his banking career in 1994 assisting emerging market companies raising capital via ADRs in both private placements (144A) and registered public offerings. He worked on some of the largest privatisations including Telebras, the Brazilian telecommunications behemoth.  More recently, he was as an advisor for BM&F Bovespa after successfully assisting with the international placement of the predecesor BM&F's IPO in Europe, Middle East and Asia.
Walter graduated from the University of Chicago with an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurship and also holds a Master's in International Economics from The Johns Hopkins University. He is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, conversant in Italian and French, and presently learning German.
